The store was carefully conjured up by Brooke Mackay-Brock, who brings her love for natural magic and ancient traditions to life through her thoughtfully curated collection of fascinating crystals, symbolic tarot cards, occult books, potion ingredients and dark artworks. 

Amongst the many otherworldly offerings the shop provides, the signature item is their bewitching hand-dipped candles. The mysterious range includes divine scents such as ‘Black Cat’, ‘Witch Wood’, ‘Aphrodisia’ and ‘New Moon’ which are perfect for awakening your inner witch and for use during spell casting.

As well as being a shop well worth visiting, Black Moon Botanica also offer online workshops such as tarot reading, spell crafting, herbology and moon magick, which you can book via their website. In addition, they offer a selection of mini retreats in Scotland for those interested in learning even more about Herbology.

It’s wonderful to see a shop which keeps alive Edinburgh’s historic ties to sorcery and that creates a space for like-minded people to meet and discuss their fascination with witchcraft and wizardry!
